John Gillies (above

Victorian Branch, presents the Most Outstanding
Student Award - Certificate IV in Hospitality
(Supervision) - Sommelier,
to Mark Bailey at the impressive Holmesglen Awards
Festival 2008 Ceremony Program for Hospitality,
Cookery & Bakery. The large trophy (held by
John) is the Wine Guild of Victoria Perpetual
Trophy, with Mark holding the personal trophy. Mark
is the first recipient of the award. The Wine Guild
has a close relationship with Holmesglen, in
particular with the Sommelier program. The Guild was
represented at the awards luncheon by John, Barbara
Cecchi, Brian Fogarty and Terry Coles. The meal was
delicious and cooked to perfection by the students,
trainees and apprentices (some pictured above). The
Wine Guild wishes Mark a very successful future. It
is hoped that Mark can attend our AGM as a guest on
Tuesday 15th July.
